Boy, 16, 'stabbed to death' in housing estate as three men arrested amid police probe

A teenager has died after allegedly being stabbed to death in a housing estate. Emergency services were scrambled to Warnford Walk in Merry Hill, Wolverhampton, shortly after 4.30pm yesterday.

A 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, Birmingham Live reports.Cops have launched a probe into the death, with a cordon put in place while forensics teams started their investigations.This morning, police confirmed three men had been arrested.

Two 22-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.Locals told how they do not feel safe in the estate, following the alleged stabbing.

One person said: "I'm too scared to even go out my front door. You're not safe anywhere." West Midlands Police have made an appeal for information and CCTV footage, and have urged any witnesses to come forward.A spokesperson for the force said: "We've arrested three men after a teenager was found with fatal stab injuries in Warnford Walk, Wolverhampton, at just after 4.30pm yesterday."Officers who attended the address gave CPR and he was treated by paramedics but sadly the 16-year-old was declared dead at the scene.
