It was a frustrating trip to the Capital for Kilmarnock as they headed back down the M8 empty-handed.Hibernian's Josh Campbell netted the decisive finish in a clash which saw the Ayrshire side slip to sixth in the Scottish Premiership.Killie made two changes from last week’s win at home to Motherwell with Matty Kennedy and captain Kyle Vassell making way for two Liams, Polworth and Donnelly.Jair Tavarez went incredibly close in the fourth minute as he curled an effort, but thankfully for Killie it bent past the post.And seconds later Hibs did have the ball in the net as Martin Boyle rounded Will Dennis to poke home, but the effort was chopped off for offside.The hosts got themselves in front after 36 minutes when Campbell calmly slotted home after some good working forward from Boyle who slid the ball into his path.Dylan Vente almost quickly made it two as he headed goalbound, but Dennis was equal to the effort.The second half started slow and flat, but as it progressed Killie were looking to find a way back into the game.Marley Watkins fizzed a cross across the goal face attempting to find substitute Andy Dallas, but David Marshall did well to deal with the danger.David Watson curled an effort at goal in the 83rd minute but it was little trouble to Marshall who gratefully caught the shot.Campbell fired away a powerful shot three minutes later, this time it was Dennis called upon for a save.Rory McKenzie had a fantastic chance in the 90th minute as he turned an effort on to the post which ended up going out for a corner.
