A 'healthy' mum who was told she had a rare form of leukaemia then tragically died on the same day. Teaching assistant Liz Taylor had been suffering with migraines and blurred vision before she was told the news.
Mum-of-two Liz was working full-time at a primary school in Leicester when she began to suffer with migraines and fatigue problems in May 2022 and initially dismissed issues as being linked to her hectic lifestyle.
Blood tests from her GP revealed she had a low blood count, but the reason for it was thought to be nothing more than a virus, reports LeicestershireLive. The 51-year-old was taken to A&E where she was diagnosed with neutropenia – a condition which means sufferers have a low number of a particular type of white cells in her blood.
