Coronation Street's Ellie Leach spotted before Strictly news as she's supported and former co-star 'exposes' dance ability

The actress was announced as part of the 2023 line-up on Wednesday morning (August 9). She is known for having played Corrie's Faye Windass on the ITV soap for 12 years, with the character leaving the famous street earlier this year.
And after years of treading the cobbles, she'll be putting on her dancing shoes with a string of other famous faces and taking to the ballroom floor this autumn when the BBC One dance contest returns to screens.
Speaking about her upcoming stint in the show, the Bury-born star admitted that the "scariest part" of the experience will be having her dancing critiqued by the judges, but added on BBC Breakfast that she is grateful fellow soap star Adam Thomas, who starred in Emmerdale and has recently returned to Waterloo Road, is included in the line-up because he will be a "little piece of home".
