The Strictly Come Dancing line-up has been announced - and Giovanni Pernice won't appear following allegations of 'abuse' from former celebrity partners.
Giovanni's Strictly partner Amanda Abbington, whom he danced with in 2023, claimed to have PTSD following her experience on the show.
Giovanni however has since released a statement over the allegations and said: "I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name." The Italian professional dancer, 33, has been on the BBC One celebrity dancing show since 2015 when he reached the grand final with Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote. The BBC have now revealed which professional dancers will be returning in 2024 and Giovanni is not named, confirming he's been axed from the 2024 series.
But there are plenty of familiar faces who will be back on the dance floor later this year. The BBC have confirmed that Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola will all return to Strictly later this year.
