Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has landed himself a new job inside the Labour Party ahead of next month's general election.

Neville has been best known for appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports since retiring from professional football and is currently appearing on ITV as part of their coverage of Euro 2024 in Germany.

However, the ex-United man has not shied away from politics. During the Qatar World Cup, Neville attacked both the host country and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for low pay and poor working conditions.

The Conservative Party leader retaliated to the former United man, suggesting he 'stick to football' - a comment which inspired the name for his podcast which he hosts alongside Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright and Jill Scott.
