No plot details are available, but the project is being executive produced by Reese Witherspoon along with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, with Schwartz and Savage also writing. Witherspoon starred in two of the “Legally Blonde” films and will executive produce under her Hello Sunshine banner alongside Lauren Neustadter.

Named The Creative Collective, founding members include “The O.C.” and “Gossip Girl” showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Olympian turned TV host Gus Kenworthy, showrunner Ryan Duffy, journalist Mickey Rapkin and more. The roster will be available to brands looking for bespoke collaborations that go beyond traditional advertising.

The O.C. have said they “regret” killing off fan-favourite character Marissa, played by Mischa Barton.At the end of the show’s third season, Marissa dies in the arms of her boyfriend Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie) after being involved in a car accident.Speaking to Vanity Fair for the show’s 20th anniversary, show creator Josh Schwartz and executive producer Stephanie Savage reflected on the decision to kill off the character.“It’s something that we regret, and looking back on it, we wish we could have come up with a different solution,” Schwartz said.

This is the era of “The Bronx Is Burning” and “FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD,” where an arsonist group of Hallberg’s invention could seamlessly blend into a background of civic decline and hostile neglect.

ANOTHER popular BBC show has been cancelled, leaving its fans reeling. The reboot of US show Gossip Girl, which streams in the UK on BBC iPlayer and also screens on BBC One, has been canned by American broadcaster HBO Max.

Gossip Girl‘s return will not go beyond its current second season. HBO Max has opted not to order a third season of the reboot, with the upcoming Season 2 finale on Jan. 26 serving as a series finale.

Breeda Wool (Mass) is set for a key recurring role opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones in National Treasure, Disney Branded Television’s TV series for Disney+ produced by ABC Signature. The project, executive produced by the films’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Jon Turteltaub and writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, is an expansion of the National Treasure movie franchise told from the point of view of young heroine Jess (Lisette Alexis) — a DREAMer in search of answers about her family — who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure. Wool will play Kacey, a sarcastic, kick-ass henchwoman and Billie’s (Zeta-Jones) second-in-command. Wool co-stars in the critically acclaimed film, Mass, directed by Fran Kranz, and also stars in the soon-to-be-released, Ultrasound, from Magnolia Pictures. She previously starred in the Stephen King series, Mr. Mercedes from David E. Kelley. Most recently she wrapped a starring role on the film, Detained, opposite Abbie Cornish.
