For many of the people of Oldham East and Saddleworth, it appears no party leader is exciting them. When the Manchester Evening News visited the constituencytoask people to describe Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in a few words, people on the streets of Uppermill uttered a familiar few words - 'out of touch'.

When it came to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, voters' faces don't exactly fill with glee. Many say they don't seem him as a leader and accuse him of lacking personality of 'charisma'. "Unfortunately, this is what we've got," Pippa says. "These are difficult times.

She said: "While I would be voting for labour, I'm not particularly voting for Keir Starmer. I don't necessarily support him as a person.
