Andy Robertson has hit back at Roy Keane and said Scotland are ready to do their talking on the pitch at Euro 2024.The skipper believes several pundits - including the former Manchester United captain - couldn’t wait to be critical of Steve Clarke’s side after their 5-1 opening night defeat to Germany.
In his ITV post-match analysis, outspoken Keane slated Robertson’s on-pitch interview - branding the comments "rubbish". Robertson didn’t name Keane in his media conference in Cologne last night ahead of the vital Group A clash with Switzerland.
But the Liverpool defender had a pop back at Scotland’s critics and insists they ARE capable of making an impact at the Euros. He’s convinced they’ll show a reaction from the Munich mauling as they look to get points on the board against the Swiss.
Robertson agreed that talk is now cheap by saying: “I could sit and talk all night, but it won’t make a difference.“It’s easy to talk before or after a game, but not so easy to go out and do it.
