Friends star Matthew Perry's overdose death - 'dealer and doctor' arrested
ok.co.ukArrests have been made in connection with the death of Friends star Matthew Perry, who died of an overdose at his home in Los Angeles in October last year.
Matthew was found dead in his swimming pool on 28 October 2023 and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office later attributed his death to the acute effects of the drug ketamine, which is a sedative used to treat depression, as well as used as a recreational drug.
Police have reportedly arrested a doctor and 'dealers' over the case.The unnamed doctor and suspected drug dealers were arrested on Thursday 15 August but it is currently unclear whether they have been charged with any crimes.
Matthew had been prescribed ketamine therapy for anxiety and depression, but it was reported at the time of his death that he had not had treatment for more than a week, meaning the ketamine found in his system after he drowned in his pool had not been prescribed.
