Four walkers have been airlifted from a Scots mountain in a dramatic rescue mission amid horror conditions.The group became stuck in the Cairngorms after one suffered an injury as weather conditions deteriorated on Saturday evening.
Mountain rescue teams alongside the Coastguard were called to the scene after the walkers became stranded.The Braemar Mountain Rescue Team shared pictures on social media showing the challenging conditions they faced while attending.One image showed the team trudging through snow carrying a stretcher as they searched for the group.They were then located on foot before being taken to a safe location and airlifted off the mountain.The Braemar Mountain Rescue Team said: "We were called out into Cairngorms to rescue four walkers stranded in winter conditions, one with an injury."Once located on foot they were evacuated to a safe location and airlifted with grateful assistance from our pals the Coastguard."
