Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi reveals family tragedy behind her Dancing on Ice performance
ok.co.ukRoxy Shahidi opened up about her dad’s death in the episode of Drama Queens that aired on Wednesday, April 17.The actress was filmed attending Dancing on Ice rehearsals - which she competed in at the beginning of the year.
And as she spoke to the cameras during the reality series, Roxy revealed her dad was the reason why she decided to go on the show.
She said: “For me, Dancing on Ice was a big thing. I am a control freak and I don't really like to do things that take me out of my comfort zone, and my dad died a couple of days before his 41st birthday.
Roxy continued to say:L “I'm 40 now and it really made me think about how short life is, and I wanted to just take a few risks just to do something different.” Whilst she was training for the series, Roxy sang the praises of Emmerdale who she said let her pull back her usually busy schedule so she could rehearse.
