Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the mixed doubles event at Wimbledon, where she was set to partner with Andy Murray in what would have been his farewell at SW19.
The pair were scheduled to play last on Court 1 this Saturday. Raducanu commented that the timing was "not ideal" given her need to be ready for her fourth-round singles match on Sunday.
The 21-year-old experienced stiffness in her right wrist upon waking and faced the tough call to pull out of the event. I'm disappointed as I was really looking forward to playing with Andy but got to take care." This withdrawal marks the end of Murray's illustrious Wimbledon career, as he is unable to secure a replacement partner.
