Releasing in the UK today (August 9), the film follows Lily Bloom (played by Lively) as she navigates life in Boston, aiming to start her own business while dealing with a difficult past.Things get more complex when her new relationship with neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni) is disrupted by the reappearance of an old flame, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar).
Fans have been voicing their concerns about the project since June 2023 when set photos leaked, sparking debates over the wardrobe choices for Lively's character.The release of the official trailer only heightened these discussions - and it's showing no sign of slowing down upon the film's release.
One TikTok user shared their frustration, saying: "I'm trying so, so, so, so hard not to be a hater but the trousers tucked into the socks has really pushed me over the edge." TikTok has also seen a flurry of users posting videos on how they would style Lily Bloom, with one video by Tessa Norton leading to comments like: "The stylists of the movie should be taking notes rn," reports the Manchester Evening News.
