ok.co.ukReal life couple Emma and Matt Willis are the perfect hosts for the new UK version of Netflix's hit dating series Love Is Blind, not only because they are happily married themselves, but also because they love watching people fall in love. “I always set up my friends,” says Emma. “I don’t really have many single friends now but I am always on the lookout for my friends that are single, I love matchmaking.
I’m not very good at it but I like seeing people who want to settle down, meet someone and be happy.” They both believe that the series, which started on Netflix on Wednesday 7 August, works because it offers a different way of dating for people sick of online dating where people are judged by their appearance. “I think people are just sick of the dating world, so why not do this as it sucks the other way,” Emma says. “Or they’ve been unsuccessful with it,” adds Matt. “They’ve been burned by it so they come to the show with a real openness to explore this experiment.” Sign up to OK's TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free The couple married in 2008 after Matt proposed to Emma while on holiday in Venice.
