Twelve more CCTV images have been released by police as investigations into the recent disorder continue. Violent scenes broke out in the aftermath of last week's devastating knife attacks in Southport.

Merseyside saw the first of the riots that followed, as crowds targeted police and a mosque in Southport on July 30. There were further ugly scenes in Liverpool, both in the city centre and in the suburb of Walton, where a library was torched.

Detectives have been pursuing those responsible for the disorder in recent days. Merseyside Police has now released images of another dozen key witnesses who they wish to speak to in connection with the violence.
