Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
Early-morning Irvine car blaze sparks investigation as police to 'increase presence'
dailyrecord.co.ukA car was set alight in Irvine during the early hours of this morning.The incident happened around 1am in the Lewis Wynd area of the North Ayrshire town.Police say there were no injuries but that the matter is being treated as a wilful fireraising with an investigation launched.In a bid to reassure residents and members of the public, the police over the next few days will deploy additional resources in the local area.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are carrying out extensive inquiries and asking for anyone with information, or who may have seen any suspicious activity nearby to please come forward.“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone with any relevant CCTV from the area around this time.“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.“Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 0274 of 21 June, 2023.
