Millions of households are set to receive a £300 cash boost from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in just two week's time.

The payment will be part of a greater government scheme to deliver £900 in cost of living support for households facing immense financial pressure.

Eligible claimants receiving a qualifying DWP benefit will begin receiving the cash boost from October 31 until November. Meanwhile, those who receive benefit payments exclusively from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will instead begin receiving the payment from November 10.

However, not all benefit claimants will be eligible for the £300 as they must have received a payment for one of the qualifying benefits between August 18, 2023 and September 17, 2023 - known as the qualifying period.
