Dementia is a heartbreaking illness to develop, not just for the patient but for their loved ones as well. And although there isn't yet a cure, there are some activities that are said to help lower your chances of developing it as you get older.Scientists have recently discovered that one everyday habit that most of us already do may slash the risk of older adults developing the condition - but it all lies in the amount of time that you do it for.The Mirror reports that people who use the internet regularly have approximately half the risk of dementia compared to people their same age who don't go online as much.
Researchers took into account several other factors such as education, ethnicity and sex, all of which can affect cognitive decline.
