A daughter who blew £50,000 of her dementia-stricken father's savings that was supposed to pay his care home fees has died behind bars.Alison Carson, from Shotts, was jailed for a year at Airdrie Sheriff Court in June after pleading guilty to embezzling the cash between August 2016 and February 2018.The 53-year-old, who had terminal cancer, passed away on October 4 at HMYOI Polmont, where she was incarcerated.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
