Cracker 'do not eat' warning issued as items recalled for containing moth larvae

Shoppers have been warned to not eat a certain brand of crackers and biscuits as they may contain "moth larvae", according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).The FSA have issued an official recall warning for the Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbreads, and Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selection, reports the Mirror.

They have been recalled due to the contamination, which has made them "unfit for human consumption".Moth larvae are small pests that develop into moths, and will eat the product.

While they will not do you any harm, officials do not recommend consuming the items.The products affected by this recall notice include the following:Daylesford Organic have asked their customers who may have purchased any of the above products to not open or eat them.

Instead, they recommend that you return them to the store you purchased them from for a full refund, with or without a receipt.The contaminated crackers and biscuits have also been removed from sale.
