As viewers of the ITV soap know, Lauren returned to Weatherfield in July, five months after she suddenly disappeared and was presumed dead by the police.
A flashback in May confirmed that it was Joel Deering who was behind Lauren's disappearance with the solicitor revealed as the teen's 'secret boyfriend' who had been showering her with gifts.
But in a shock move, he was seen attacking her with a chair leg and it was unclear if she was alive.
