Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has shared a one-word update from his idyllic break after he ditched the UK for what fans said was a 'well deserved' holiday.
The actor revealed he'd landed in the Caribbean over the weekend, just days after viewers of the ITV soap watched his on-screen character Billy Mayhew face the loss of his husband Paul Foreman.
As fans of the long-running show know, Billy heartbreakingly missed the chance to say goodbye to Paul, played by Peter Ash, as he died in tragic scenes, 17 months after he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), the life-limiting illness for which there is yet no cure. Sharing a selfie to Instagram, the soap star said: "It appears that I’ve awoken in the Caribbean!!! Bring on the relax, sunshine and much needed sleep!" Daniel's partner Jordan Coulthard responded to the post, writing: "You deserve this so much babe.
