EXCLUSIVE: Chicago Fire star Jeff Hephner has boarded Abi Morgan’s Benedict Cumberbatch-starring Netflix UK series Eric.

Hephner will play Richard Castillo, a charismatic, affluent politician who works for the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Motion Pictures and Television.

He joins a cast featuring Cumberbatch and the likes of Gaby Hoffman, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler and Phoebe Nicholls for the six-parter, which is being produced by Chernobyl indie Sister.

Eric follows Vincent Anderson (Cumberbatch), a grief-stricken puppeteer on a leading TV show whose young boy goes missing and who finds solace through his friendship with the titular character, the monster that lives under his son’s bed.

Billie Eilish granted temporary restraining order against stalker
Billie Eilish has been granted a temporary restraining order against a stalker who stripped naked outside her house.As TMZ report, Raymond Black has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the pop star’s Los Angeles home, saying the granting of the order was based on “a credible threat of violence or stalking”.The report says the order comes after Black was found by Eilish trespassing on her property for hours and stripping naked to use her outdoor shower.It adds that on Monday evening (February 20), Eilish turned her living room lights on to see Black outside the window. After the police were called, Black was detained and arrested nearby after he had left the property.The restraining order also means Black is not allowed near Eilish’s parents’ home in the city.The new restraining order against Black is separate to another request made last month against 39-year-old Christopher Anderson.It was reported that Anderson had come to Eilish’s childhood home “unannounced and uninvited” multiple times between late December and early January.Eilish had said Anderson’s most recent unannounced visit to the house was on January 5.

Set in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, northern India, the series will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and her quest to uncover a mystery. Bhardwaj will serve as director and co-producer and co-screenwriter alongside Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan. Courteeners, English Teacher and Louis Tomlinson were among the acts to be honoured at the first-ever Northern Music Awards.The inaugural ceremony – hosted by the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff And Robbins – took place at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night (April 23) to celebrate northern artists, festivals, venues and industry figures.Presented by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins, the event featured live performances from Courteeners frontman Liam Fray, as well as English Teacher, Lisa Stansfield, The K’s and more.Guest presenters from the region included former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville, New Order‘s Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Norris, and Grimsby-born actor Thomas Turgoose (This Is England). ‌ Neville awarded Courteeners with the Band Of The Year prize.
