A "happy, healthy" little girl has died just hours after complaining of belly ache.Milly-Rose Stirrup, six, was off school with a bug but was otherwise fit and healthy, eating an ice lolly and playing on her Nintendo the day before she passed away.

A few hours later, she told her parents Shaun and Pip she had a belly ache and her heart was hurting so they took her to hospital. The couple held her hand as she was hooked up to antibiotics, and discussed what they'd do once she was well enough to go home - but, tragically, just a few hours later, Milly-Rose died.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, what caused her rapid decline had not yet been confirmed, but doctors believe she had sepsis.

Shaun and Pip have been left in total shock as the devastated couple say only the support of friends, family and strangers had kept them going after the loss of their "angel sent from above".
