Cambuslang Rangers boss Paul McColl is still looking for at least three new signings, but says creating their under-20s is already paying dividends.McColl is in the market for a striker, midfielder and a defender to add to the 10 he snapped up last week. But left winger Leo Dyet has come in from the 21s and central midfielder David Lewis will also be given a chance to shine.McColl was planning to run the rule of Dyet during a pre-season friendly at Muirkirk last night (Tuesday) and has high hopes. He said: “We probably need another three players in, but that’s not bad going, considering.“We probably need another forward, defender, and another midfielder – a big, strong, midfielder.“It’s hard going just now, because players are still just floating around to see the best deal they can get – they’re not daft.

But there are guys who are maybe in training just now with a decent side, maybe a senior team, where they might not get a deal.“Players will come up, and there are guys who are on holiday still, who haven’t decided yet.

But we definitely need a few more, we’re a wee bit short.“However, we have an under-20s team now and we’re looking to take in one of the boys to look at, Leo Dyet, who showed up really well in training.“We’ll bring him in, see how he does, and if he does well we might bring him into the squad.“We also have David Lewis, who is a cracker – a big, tall boy, who is good on the ball, and we noticed him as well.“He’s only 17, but he can play.

He’s a big, elegant player who is naturally gifted on the ball and scores goals.“We didn’t have the 20s last season to fall back on, and we’ve seen a few right away, which is good.“But Leo stuck out a wee bit and it’s good to get him in, so I hope he does well.
