A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a motorbike ploughed into a tree in Salford. Emergency services were scrambled to the Loopline on Sunday afternoon (July 16).
Police and paramedics attending the scene treated a 24-year-old motorcyclist, who was then taken to hospital. He remains there with injuries that are thought to be life-threatening.
GMP were called to the footpath adjacent to Bridgewater Road in Worsley at around 2.50pm after receiving reports that a motorcycle had collided with a tree. In a statement, GMP said: "Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following a serious collision on the Loop in Salford. "At around 2.05pm yesterday (Sunday 16 July 2023) officers were called to reports that a motorcycle had collided with a tree. "Officers and colleagues from North West Ambulance Service attended and took the injured motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man, to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. "He has serious injuries which are believed at this time to be life threatening.
