Boys are wearing skirts to school in the ongoing heatwave in protest against being made to wear "boiling" uniforms to school.
The protest comes as parents of children at a number of schools in south wales branded rules banning boys from wearing shorts as "unfair" as temperatures pass 30C.Parents have complained that schools have sent children to detention for wearing school branded PE kits despite teachers being allowed to wear "skirts and shorts".
Some pupils are now hitting back with two male pupils at different schools deciding to wear skirts today.Siobhan Bates' son Bradley, 13, who goes to Ysgol Dyffryn Aman was one of those given detention after wearing a PE kit to school.
The 35-year-old mum told Wales Online: "I sent my son to school in his PE kit. When he got to school he got off the bus and a teacher stopped them going into school. "They lined them up outside and said they were going to keep them in a room all day in detention.
