Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has admitted she has been crying on a daily basis as she struggles to come to terms with the side effects of her chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease earlier this year. The 33-year-old BBC professional dancer opened up in a candid health update to her followers on social media that she struggles to brush her own hair over fears more will fall out as her cancer treatment has started taking a toll on her body.Amy explained her beloved husband Ben Jones has been brushing it for her as the star can then distance herself from the awareness of how much hair she is losing after admitting it has left her feeling "distraught." "So many messages asking me how I'm coping with the hair loss and I'm not gonna lie, it is really hard," she told her 503k followers on Instagram."I think I cry less now.

To begin with, it was every day, but now I have meltdowns when I wash my hair once a week."Fighting back tears, she added: "For the last two weeks now, I haven't brushed my hair and that has definitely helped."Since I came out of hospital with the blood clots, I stopped brushing it myself because I was just getting distraught seeing how much was falling out."Explaining how her husband's help limits her getting more upset over the issue, she continued: "I obviously am aware of it, but I'm not physically seeing or holding the hair that I'm losing and that for me is helping me big time."In her latest video posted to Instagram, Amy appeared wearing a purple and pink scarf covering her hairline. "If I take my scarf off, you'll see there's hardly any [hair left], but it's okay.
