A 14-year-old boy was found with a knife in his coat pocket after being chased by police. The teenager, who was arrested, was followed after being spotted by officers on patrol in Halliwell, Bolton, on Sunday (February 18).

After speaking to the three young boys, one of them ran off and a foot chase ensued. He was later caught before informing officers he was in possession of the blade.

Police then found the knife in his coat pocket and arrested him at the scene on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.
