A popular Sale pub is set to close ahead of a major refurbishment that will see it transformed both inside and out. The Kings Ransom pub located on a prime spot along the Bridgewater Canal on Britannia Road will shut for several weeks while it undergoes the major revamp.
The six-figure refurb begins on Monday, February 26 and is expected to take around a month to complete. A spokesperson from the brewery Greene King which runs the pub said it will reopen to the public in late March following a ‘significant renovation both internally and externally’.
Known for its lively atmosphere and evening entertainment, the King's Ransom, with its floating barge-style beer garden is a popular south Manchester spot for enjoying a pint.
Right next to Sale tram stop the boozer is an easy one to get to whether you're a local or catching the tram from the city centre.
