BBC viewers claim Kate Middleton Children in Need appearance was 'tone deaf'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukThe BBC has been flooded with complaints over Kate Middleton's appearance on Children In Need. The fundraiser was broadcast live on TV on Friday night (Nov 17) in a bid to raise millions of pounds for children's charities.
At least £4.3m had already been raised before the show started thanks to BBC Radio 2 host Vernon Kay. The Bolton-born presenter and former model took part in a four-day 115-mile ultramarathon from Leicester to Bolton - crossing the finish line on Friday morning.
Friday night's show, which ran for three hours, saw sketches, comedy, music, and performances with a number of specials planned including a one-off Doctor Who short, MasterChef Puppet Champion and The Graham Norton Show’s Red Chair. The mum-of-three told viewers that Children In Need is 'all about helping to support, champion and empower all children to be the very best they can be'.
