Chris McCausland has revealed that he turned down an 'offer' from Strictly Come Dancing bosses ahead of this year's series. The Liverpudlian comedian, 47, said that bosses were happy to make his time on the BBC dance contest 'easier' - but he categorically refused any favouritism.
Chris, who is partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, has made history by becoming the first blind contestant to take part in Strictly.
During his time on the show so far, he has left viewers astounded by his dancing skills and has been praised by the judges, with many believe he has potential to win.
But Chris has now told The One Show's Clara Amfo and Vernon Kay that before appearing on the show, Strictly bosses were expecting him to struggle on the dancefloor, and said they could keep the audience quiet to make his routines easier.
