A conman posed as a celebrity auctioneer in his attempt to rob a bank, but was foiled by sharp-witted staff. Back in 2014, the man – who can't be named for legal reasons – walked into a UK branch of a popular bank claiming to be Charles Hanson, one of the stars of the hit BBC TV show Bargain Hunt, in his attempt to steal £3,000. Workers in the bank were suspicious of the man and gathered the fingerprint evidence police needed to convict him.
