APPRENTICE star Joe Phillips has admitted that he would rather be confronted by a six tonne elephant than Lord Sugar. The safari guide, 26, who proclaimed he was the “James Bond of the business world”, became the sixth candidate to be fired on the BBC show tonight after the candidates jetted to Dubai for a hospitality task.

However Joe, from Worcestershire, revealed that his time working as a tour guide in South Africa prepared him for the lion pit of the boardroom.

Asked if he would prefer to be in front of a lion or Lord Sugar, he said: “They are both terrifying in very different ways. “Would I rather face the charge of a six tonne elephant or the wrath of Lord Sugar in the boardroom?
