Zara McDermott 'so proud' of Sam Thompson as he opens up on ADHD and admits it makes him 'selfish'
ok.co.ukAs her boyfriend and former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson is in the I'm a Celeb jungle, Zara McDermott, 26, has gushed to fans how 'proud' she is of him.The star, who competed on Strictly Come Dancing this year, took to social media to say that Sam, 32, is a "real inspiration to the ADHD community.
So proud of you" and posted a video of him explaining the reality of his ADHD struggles. Sam was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 30 and last night's episode of I'm a Celeb gave viewers a further insight into it as he explained to JLS singer Marvin Humes how it can really impact his emotions.
Sam said: "When the low bits happen, like it goes low. But then the highs are really high. My girlfriend Zara is just so steady and it's so good for me.
When she's going steady, I'm going like that [gestures up and down]. So it's so nice to have someone that's just like keeping you going." Sam then also admitted to his jungle campmates that he feels his ADHD makes him "selfish" when it comes to his relationship with girlfriend Zara.
