Whoopi Goldberg is opening up about a big no-no she did during a trip to Disneyland many years ago.

During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 68-year-old actress and The View host confessed that after her mother, Emma Harris, passed away in 2010, she spread her ashes at the theme park. Keep reading to find out more… “No one should do this.

Don’t do it,” Whoopi prefaced. “I took… my mother loved Disneyland, and so we took her to Disneyland.” “When I was a kid, the World’s fair was [in New York], and it was the introduction of Small World, and she loved Small World,” she continued. “So, in the Small World ride, periodically I’d scoop some of her up and I’d do this,” she said, imitating a fake sneeze. “I said, ‘My god, this cold is getting worse and worse.’ And then we got over to the flowers where it says ‘Disneyland’ [at the park entrance] and I was like, ‘Oh, look at that.’” She then fake sneezed again.

However, Whoopi did fess up to Disney, revealing what she had done. “Well, I wanted to make sure, actually, that I hadn’t done something that was dangerous, ’cause it hadn’t occurred to me, but there’s a reason they don’t want ashes just floating around.” Disney fans know that scattering ashes at any of the theme parks is a big no-no, but Disney custodians revealed back in 2018 that it actually is something that happens quite often, at least once a month, according to Wall Street Journal.
