Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Riot Games‘ popular free-to-play tactical shooter “Valorant” is no longer a PC-only game. As of Friday, the title has officially launched across Xbox Series X and S consoles and PlayStation 5 in the United States and Canada, Europe, Japan and Brazil, following limited beta testing.
It should be noted that cross-play will not be available between PC and console player matches, which Riot says is in order to “maintain ‘Valorant’s’ renowned standard for competitor integrity.” Riot’s “Valorant” is a competitive 5v5 character-based first-person tactical shooter.
The free-to-play title, which launched in 2020, is “a precise and lethal multiplayer game with high-fidelity gunplay, a diverse arsenal of guns, agents with unique abilities, and competitively tuned maps for unlimited hours of play.
