University of Manchester clearing: Are courses available and how to apply

Students across England have today found out whether months of hard work has paid off as the results of their A Level exams were finally revealed.

For some students, it will be a disappointing day as they won't have achieved the grades they need for their first-choice university.

But that doesn't mean all hope is lost. There is a process called clearing which matches applicants to university places that are yet to be filled – so even if you haven't applied yet, you may still be able to find a course you want to join.
