Tragedy as person dies on M60

A person has died after falling from a bridge over the M60. Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, were called to a concern for welfare report on the motorway on Tuesday evening (January 23).

A stretch of the M60 near Middleton was closed off as crews worked on the scene. Tragically, the person died. No further details on their gender or age have been released at this stage.
