The Met Office has warned thunderstorms will batter much of the UK on today, August 2. The 1 in 12 British adults with asthma, including those who specifically have both asthma and hay fever, may be at risk of ‘thunderstorm asthma’, according to doctors.
That’s around 5.4 million people in the UK who could be at risk of a life-threatening asthma attack – which can be exacerbated by stormy weather.
