Coronavirus warnings heard on trams in recent weeks have been made by mistake, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has said.
Warnings have been read out on trams advising people to 'keep a safe distance' from other passengers where possible, 'keep the windows open if you can', 'cleaning your hands regularly', and to wear face coverings.
TfGM has today (September 30) confirmed that the messages were made in error, and have only been played on certain trams. The mistake comes as Covid is making a resurgence across the UK, with the new XEC variant.
