Pep Guardiola saw the improvements that he wanted from his Manchester City side against Arsenal. City picked up one of their best Champions League results by beating Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, beating them 3-0 at the Etihad before surviving a second-leg onslaught to draw 1-1 and go through as 4-1 winners.
However, after reviewing both matches the City boss said the performance from his players was less impressive than the result suggested and demanded more from them against Arsenal and Real Madrid.
A 4-1 hammering of Arsenal in the Premier League puts the title race firmly in their control and also continues a 17-match unbeaten streak in all competitions that sees them in contention for a Treble.
As well as being an impressive win over the Gunners, Guardiola said that the team also showed improvement on the aspects of play he had called for. Read more: Pep Guardiola privately warned Man City players over Arsenal slump "We didn't pass the ball before against Bayern, we didn't pass enough.
