A reveller was caught with cocaine in his underwear at a three-day Scots rave after a search by a drug sniffer dog. Muhammad Zahoor was stopped in the security area at the Terminal V dance event held at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, near Edinburgh.

The 30-year-old delivery driver denied having drugs despite the dog picking him out. When officers said they’d need to carry out a strip search, Zahoor surrendered 13 wraps of cocaine worth £500 he had in his pants.

Zahoor appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Wednesday and admitted a charge of being in possession of cocaine. Fiscal depute Sarah Noon said Zahoor entered the security area at the venue at about 6pm.Ms Noon said a sniffer dog gave a “positive” reaction for drugs in his direction. The court heard Zahoor claimed he had “nothing on his person” but previously had drugs down his trousers which he’d thrown away.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a desktop, simply scan the QR code above with your phone and click 'Join Community'.We also treat our community members to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners.
