Tayla Parx has called out Normani for not crediting her on her new album ‘Dopamine‘ after she helped create one of the LP’s songs. The ‘Motivation’ singer appeared as a guest on The Zach Sang Show where she took the time to explain how the track ‘Insomnia’ came to be on her debut album.

Normani explained that ‘Insomnia’ was one of her older songs that made it on to the LP and shared that it was done towards the beginning of the pandemic.Speaking about the song’s inclusion, the singer said: “At one point it was on, at one point it was off and then my new management came along and Lydia was like ‘Girl, you better put that song on this record.'”Both she and Sang went on to discuss Victoria Monét and Brandy‘s inclusion in the creation of the track, with the latter having done its vocal production and Monet having produced it.“I went in [to the studio], it was with Stargate, Victoria and Tayla Parx,” began Normani with Sang adding how great Parx is to which the singer replied: “I miss her.

I haven’t seen her in ages.”Parx took to her official X/Twitter account and quote tweeted a snippet of the interview where Normani shared that they were both in the studio working on the song. “It’s crazy cause I haven’t listened to the album yet and this is how I’m finding out I’m on it … no credit, no business done.
