A young holidaymaker has disappeared in Thailand as he made his way to the airport to fly home.Simon Robinson was due to fly home on July 26, but he never boarded his flight at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.

The 27-year-old's phone was detected in Bangkok but was switched off with no attempts made to contact friends or family, reports the Mirror.Concerned family and friends back home have contacted the British Embassy in Bangkok to help find Simon's whereabouts but after no progress, they have turned to social media in a desperate appeal for help.Sister Sarah Robinson-Dale said she was "going out her my mind" with worry and that the family were waiting to hear from Interpol and speak to the embassy.Sam Champ a friend of Simon's, said they were especially worried after Simon's 27th birthday came and went on August 1 with no news.Posting a picture of Simon online in an appeal on August 2, Sam wrote: "One of my dear friends has gone missing in Bangkok, he hasn't been heard from since July 26."He was supposed to board a flight that day and he didn't show up.

It was his 27th birthday yesterday and everyone is growing very concerned."He has been reported as a missing person. I've attached a picture of him, his name is Simon Robinson and he's from Lincolnshire.
