ok.co.ukHelen Skelton has broken her silence on her split from ex-husband Richie Myler, 18 months after she announced they'd separated.The TV presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing star, 40, has remained tight-lipped about her split from Leeds Rhinos ace Richie, 33, up until now, but in her new autobiography, In My Stride, she finally addresses the breakdown of her marriage, revealing it came as a "shock" and she didn't see it coming.
Richie and Helen split in 2022 after eight years of marriage, with Richie quickly moving on with new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, who he's since welcomed a child with.
Writing about the split, the mum-of-three, who shares sons Ernie, eight, Louis, six, and daughter Elise, one, with her ex-husband, pens: "I was in shock.
I know that following break-ups, people often say they didn’t see it coming and it sounds like a cliche, but that was me.” She goes on to say that she fears she missed "signs" that her marriage wasn't working - or may have simply "ignored" them - as she was "consumed" by her work, children and house project, The Sun reports.
