Caolan Boyd-Munce won’t be sold on the cheap – that’s the message from St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson. The Buddies knocked back a reported £175,000 bid for the midfielder from Sky Bet League One side Leyton Orient on Tuesday.

Boyd-Munce has been offered a contract extension at the SMiSA Stadium on the back of an impressive season which ended with his first caps for Northern Ireland.

Paisley chief Robbo admits everyone has their price but warned the club doesn’t have to sell. “We won’t sell players for cheap any more,” he said. “We don’t need to do that.

Footballers have a choice and I hold no grudges. They can stay and see their contracts out but we won’t sell anyone under value.“We rate Caolan very highly and we think there’s a lot more to come.
