Max Kucheriavyi feels he has improved with every loan challenge and is now excited to impress manager Steven MacLean in pre-season.The Ukrainian midfielder (21) has impressed during spells with Brechin City, Kelty Hearts and, most recently, Falkirk.Kucheriavyi, a crafty left-footer who often takes responsibility from set-pieces, quickly received plaudits from the supporters of each club.His next hope is that he can play regular first team football for St Johnstone during the 2023/24 Premiership campaign.Kucheriavyi, who returned for day one of pre-season on Thursday, told the PA: “It is always exciting to get back, play football again and see everyone.
I hope it will be an enjoyable season.“I will work as hard as I always do and we will see how it goes.“I have spoken to Steven MacLean a couple of times but I prefer to keep that private.“I think it will be really enjoyable working with the new manager.
I’m looking forward to getting started with him in charge.“You could tell that one day he would become the number one, for sure.
