Jay mysteriously disappeared nearly a month ago, and despite extensive searches, there has been no sign of the apprentice bricklayer; officials have not declared him dead.
Since his disappearance on June 17, social media has been ablaze with wild theories, causing anguish for his distraught family.
Malicious tricksters took advantage of the public's concern for Jay by having his Instagram converted to a memorial page, then bragged about their actions online.They posted on their personal Instagram profiles, part of Meta platforms, gloating how they conned Instagram into changing Jay's profile status.
